Taff Vale Redevelopment

Llys Cadwyn, the Redevelopment of Taff Vale

Landmark Offices, Community Hub and New Park Bridge Link

Working closely with Darnton B3 Architects, Hydrock Engineering, Rhomco Project Managers, RCT Council and Willmott Dixon, Soltys Brewster provided public realm hard and soft landscape design and ecological consultancy services for the redevelopment of the former Taff Vale precinct, on the northern edge of Pontypridd Town Centre. The £38m development opened in 2020 and includes a new riverside walk, a new pedestrian bridge link to the grade II registered Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, commercial office space, and a council community hub building with library and gym, all surrounded by high quality contemporary public realm over undercroft parking. A landmark development marking a new era for Pontypridd.
